Thank you for visiting Flourish! We created Flourish to provide nutrition inspiration and motivation for the entire community with special emphasis on Bariatric patients and those who love them. Our core belief is that if you nourish your body and mind properly, it will rise to the challenge by blessing you with increased energy, optimum wellness, and a more positive outlook on life. We truly believe that life is worth living with all the excitement it can be given!
We regularly provide nutrition advice for Indianapolis’ FOX 59 Morning News, a variety of newspapers, radio stations and magazines, and have been featured on local cable performing cooking demonstrations. We both work for Clarian Bariatrics in Indianapolis, Indiana, where we encourage our patients to Flourish in every aspect of their life!

Ruthanne Hilbrich, RD has been in the field for 25 years! Her professional history includes earning clinical experience working with medical conditions in infants, children, and the adult and elderly populations, as well as many disease states. While working at the University of Chicago, she was a part of the National Institute of Health Diabetes Prevention Program. She is a member of many Dietetic Practice Groups: Research Dietitians, Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists, Weight Management, and Gerontological Nutritionists.
Ruthanne has been giving energetic nutrition advice through the medial for the past 15 years, including new and talk shows. She is a dynamic support group leader in Bariatrics, certified through Bariatric Support Centers International.
Ruthanne is most proud of her gorgeous and lovely daughter, Christiana Genevieve, a nationally ranked volleyball player and academic scholar! |
Annessa Chumbley, RD, has been a dietitian for only four years, but they have been packed with experience and excitement! She graduated cum lade with a Bachelors of Science degree from Western Kentucky University, and completed the Indiana University Dietetic Internship in Indianapolis. She enjoys public speaking, and has given nutrition, wellness, and exercise presentations for corporations, wellness centers, fire departments, and Christian groups. She created and developed Bariatric cooking classes that grew into the establishment of Flourish, LLC. She is a certified support group leader through Bariatric Support Centers International (BSCI), and is the dietitian of BSCI’s Dream Team. Annessa is a member of the American Dietetic Association, and the ADA’s Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists.
As an avid community volunteer, Annessa has worked with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, counsels at a Christian camp in New Jersey each summer, and is very active in her Christian Faith. |
